Quarry Heavy Equipment Operator

Heavy Equipment Operator Haynes Materials has immediate openings for Heavy Equipment Operators. We are searching for self-motivated and detail-oriented people to join our team.

The qualified candidate will have: Minimum of 3 years' experience operating heavy equipment within quarry operations or on large scale commercial construction sites consisting of 980 and/or 988 loaders, excavators, hammer excavators, articulating dump trucks, skid steers, Bobcats, etc. Operator is expected to be proficient with running loaders, excavators, and/or dozers.

Candidate must be willing to travel to quarry locations and jobsites throughout Connecticut. MSHA/OSHA certificates a plus Experience with crushing and mining operations is preferred Requirements: 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience and possess a solid work ethic; Experience in quarry environment preferred but willing to train suitable candidate Ability to run loaders, excavators, and quarry equipment safely and effectively (examples include large front-end loaders, excavators, hammer excavators, dozers, articulated dump trucks, water trucks, mini-excavators, skid-steers, other equipment as needed) Ability to inspect and maintain all quarry equipment and complete daily DVIR Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity. Must be able to operate for extended periods of time and to get into awkward positions when cleaning and performing maintenance on the equipment.

Requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb, or balance. Willingness to work and help around the plant with maintenance and cleaning. Comply with and promote all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure adherence to the Company's safety policy.

Must wear PPE at all times on the job site. Must pass a background check, physical/drug test.
