Member of the global FICC Quants team

  • To design, develop, test and document the models developed according to HSBC standards.

  • Develop technical solutions for the users as required (Trading desks, Product Control, Traded Risks, etc.).

  • To analyze and provide support to any issues identified in the models.

Requirements

Certifications, Qualifications and Experience (For the Job - not the Job holder. Minimum requirements of the Job)

  • A first experience as a Quantitative Analyst in a quantitative finance environment would be apreciated

  • A degree in mathematical finance, science or maths from a top tier university.

  • Knowledge of the standard pricing models used in the investment banking industry (Black-Scholes, Bachelier, local and stochastic volatility models, HJM framework).

  • C++ experience (preferably using Visual Studio), with some knowledge of modern C++ (at least C++11).

  • Familiarity with Linear and Non-Linear Rates Products

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Solid background in quantitative finance: stochastic calculus, partial differential equations, no-arbitrage valuation, numerical analysis.

  • Knowledge of main instruments used in FICC business.

  • Strong C++ skills (C++11 or beyond appreciated).

  • Strong knowledge of Excel.

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, VBA.

  • Experience with version control systems (such as Git) and distributed software development process.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at one time.

  • Open minded and team spirit oriented

Key Accountabilities * Within the Corporate Services department, the Business Development team is the reference knowledge and project centre. The Analyst will monitor the competitive landscape of Corporate Services, conduct screening analysis to identify M&A targets, and ensure the reporting of the department. In addition, the Analyst will contribute to the development of new initiatives, namely strategic business projects related to debt and equity listing, and the maintenance of statistics and business intelligence, and he/she will ensure the preparation of monthly and quarterly group reports on business performance for senior management. * The Analyst will have a strategic role to play in supporting the Sales teams across Europe with business intelligence productions identifying commercial opportunities. He/she will help the Management to drive the business by creating and maintaining key performance indicators and management tools. * Carrying the team's effort and contribution to strengthening the department, the Analyst will also help bolster the team's research capacities by contributing to know-how and content on specific sectors and/or topics related to equity and debt capital markets. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Profile * 1 years of experience in capital markets or in leading consultancy firms * Graduated from a Tier 1 university, business or engineering school, with strong academic credentials. Desired attributes and skills * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Impeccable oral and written communication skills in English and French. Additional languages are a plus. * Solid understanding of- and interest in- capital markets. * Willingness and ability to work independently on multiple projects. * Command of Excel and PowerPoint. * Fast learner, pro-active behaviour and positive mindset. * Strong abilities to perform research and build relevant intelligence on a wide set of quantitative and qualitative topics. * Willingness and ability to navigate within virtual teams and in multicultural environments.
