This position is primarily responsible for visual inspecting finished sterile products at Avella of Phoenix. This position has dual roles; the secondary responsibility for this position is to package finished products in the post-production area and label medication.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished sterile product (unit) to identify any abnormalities or foreign particles or substances

  • Accurately complete associated report(s), form(s), and/or log(s)

  • Work with operations/clean room employees to transition the inspected units to appropriate storage location(s).

  • Responsible for arriving to work as scheduled and notifies supervisors in a timely manner of any absences

  • Complete any other duties as designated by leadership

Positions in this function perform various duties in support of the production control and testing of compound manufactured drugs:

  • Final product testing

  • Product testing review and support

  • Environmental and personnel monitoring

  • Qualification and validation

  • Equipment and clean-room sterilization

  • Raw material and component review and testing

  • Batch review and disposition

  • Internal and external audits

  • Document control management

  • Quality system management

  • Moderate work experience within own function

  • Some work is completed without established procedures

  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others

  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • Basic MS Suite Products - creating documents in MS Word

  • Ability to work an 8hr shift between the hours or 6:00am-11:00pm Mon-Fri

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CGMP and GDP preferred

Soft Skills:

  • Good Communication Skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of passing visual requirements including but not limited to close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

The Quality Visual Inspector Supervisor will supervise all visual inspectors. Primary responsibilities: * Manage visual inspectors and ensuring efficient work flow * Ensure all visual inspectors wear appropriate PPE * Ensure all visual inspectors use visual inspection equipment accurately and accordingly * Pass all initial and on - going validations * Complete any other duties as designated by leadership * Extensive work experience within own function * Work is frequently completed without established procedures * Work independently * May act as a resource for others * May coordinate others' activities * Knowledge of basic drug terminology, abbreviations, and symbols * Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures; applies new SOPs when updated * Positions in this function perform various duties in support of the production control and testing of compound manufactured drugs: * Final product testing * Product testing review and support * Environmental and personnel monitoring * Qualification and validation * Equipment and clean - room sterilization * Raw material and component review and testing * Batch review and disposition * Internal and external audits * Document control management * Quality system management Required Qualifications * High School Diploma / GED (or higher) * Ability to work an 8 hr. shift between the hours of 6am - 11pm, Monday to Friday * Basic Microsoft Suite Products - creating documents in Microsoft Word and sending emails in Microsoft Outlook Preferred Requirements: * 6 months of supervisory experience * Knowledge of cGMP and GDP * Knowledge of quality assurance programs or systems Soft Skills : * Attention to detail with accurate and timely completion of batches * Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities * Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive team environment * Possess a professional appearance and possess excellent communication skills * Possess strong communication skills Physical Requirements: * Capable of passing visual requirements including but not limited to close vision, color vision, distance vision, periferal vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus OptumRx isan empowering place for people with the flexibility to help create change.Innovation is part of the job description.
