Praxair Surface Technologies (PST), a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking a Quality Technician in our plant located in Ellisville, MS.
This individual while working in the PGT Ellisville plant will perform various Quality related activities to support regularly scheduled and continuous Quality and/or Delivery requirements to include but not limited to:
Tracking and managing external equipment calibrations (i.e. GE Sensing).
Ensuring all test equipment including gages, standards, and instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and fully functional.
Maintaining calibrated spares inventory.
Maintaining a register for the calibration recall system.
Verifying critical materials or services conform to the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or Certificate of Analysis (CoA).
Tracking shelf life for chemicals and/or materials when applicable on a register as the Primary or Alternate designee.
Participating as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB) to determine the actions taken with respect to nonconforming items, reviewing the accuracy of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR), ensuring physical segregation during containment actions, and obtaining customer approval for disposition of nonconformities.
Performing visual and dimensional inspection on production parts to determine conforming and non-conforming material.
Ensuring proper handling and physical disfigurement of scrap parts.
Performing 10X inspection on customer parts stripped of coating.
Supporting First Article Inspection activities as directed.
Performing internal Quality Audits and Go Cards.
Collecting and analyzing data for monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to identify trends.
Assisting the Quality team in preparing for S1000 (AS9100) and AC7004 (NADCAP) audits.
Performing other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED is required
Must be self-sufficient and focused on assigned duties
Must be able to work closely with Quality / Engineering / Operations on assigned tasks
Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques a plus
Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
Must be reliable to achieve assigned duties in a timely manner
Working extended hours and/or weekends and holidays may be required
