Performing detailed inspections and testing on metal fabricated parts, components, and instruments using advanced gauges & measurement tools to validate product conformity.

  • Inspection equipment not limited to micrometer, caliper, height gage, depth gage, dial bore gage, optical comparator.
  • GD&T experience is a plus.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and verify calibration.
  • Complete all inspection documentation for components including first article inspections as required.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure DHR and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed to assure the quality of all products
  • As needed provide quality systems training and assistance to production employees.


  • Dexterity, math skills, stamina, able to read and understand blueprints, customer requirements. Apply proper inspection techniques not limited to using micrometers, calipers, optical compactors, flatness gauges and other inspection measuring equipment needed for quality assessment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge of raw material specifications, production processes, and quality control.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, autonomously.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Maintain sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of the various products.
  • Ability to read and understand blue print


  • Experience in ISO/FDA quality concepts preferred
  • Knowledge of documentation systems, archiving and control techniques
  • Detail oriented with proven organization and coordination skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows operating environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong team player tendencies
  • Ability to multi-task and have the flexibility to adjust workload to meet varying schedules

Some paint experience a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Job Responsibilities: * Paint surfaces of wheels using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques * Inspect wheels to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects * Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts * Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish. Apply or retouch paint as necessary * Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc. * May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate Administrative: * Complete required paperwork and submit according to company procedures * Maintain tools in good working condition * Maintain inventory of all job related materials i.e. plugs, invoices, etc * Follow company procedures and policies at all times * Return all calls, pages, etc. on a timely basis (minimum same day) * Follow company procedures, policies and practices at all times Qualifications: * 1 - 2 years auto painting experience preferred or collision repair technical school training. * Will work side by side with experienced wheel Tech to learn necessary skills. * Effective communication and interaction skills helpful. * Excellent organizational skills required. * Valid Driver's License and good driving record required. * Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus * Willing to travel to St. Louis, MO for two consecutive weeks of training. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks. Frequent exposure to toxic chemicals. Moderate noise level.
