Performing detailed inspections and testing on metal fabricated parts, components, and instruments using advanced gauges & measurement tools to validate product conformity.

  • Inspection equipment not limited to micrometer, caliper, height gage, depth gage, dial bore gage, optical comparator.
  • GD&T experience is a plus.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and verify calibration.
  • Complete all inspection documentation for components including first article inspections as required.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure DHR and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed to assure the quality of all products
  • As needed provide quality systems training and assistance to production employees.


  • Dexterity, math skills, stamina, able to read and understand blueprints, customer requirements. Apply proper inspection techniques not limited to using micrometers, calipers, optical compactors, flatness gauges and other inspection measuring equipment needed for quality assessment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge of raw material specifications, production processes, and quality control.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, autonomously.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Maintain sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of the various products.
  • Ability to read and understand blue print


  • Experience in ISO/FDA quality concepts preferred
  • Knowledge of documentation systems, archiving and control techniques
  • Detail oriented with proven organization and coordination skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows operating environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong team player tendencies
  • Ability to multi-task and have the flexibility to adjust workload to meet varying schedules

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Actively participate in maintaining a Food Safe environment for our ST Specialty Plant and our customers. * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines. * Take pride in maintaining "Ready to Tour and Safety Aware Environment" * Participate in improvement projects to support Continuous Improvement. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: * Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues to supervisor as well as the following specific duties involving food safety and quality. * Perform chemical, physical and sensory tests on all raw and finished products using approved methods to generate accurate data. * Testing to include but not limited to the following: weight checks, moisture analyzing, documenting COAs, retain samples, customer cuttings, defect analysis, counts, and stencil evaluation including: label, date code, product code, description, & UPC code. * Record all information in an orderly fashion and report all deviations from standard to the Quality Assurance Manager. * Follow Quality Assurance procedures as described by Quality Assurance Manager. Carry out any corrections prescribed by Quality Assurance Manager. EDUCATION: Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent experience Bachelor's Degree desired in sciences, biology, chemistry EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in Quality Assurance preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Accepts and is able to handle unanticipated work and problems * Be accurate, precise and attentive to detail * Good communication (verbally and written), problem solving and organizational skills * Computer data entry skills * Sound algebra * Possess basic food processing knowledge, including familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices * Bilingual skills a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing and Walking 100%, Use of both hands 100% WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Food manufacturing setting requiring the use of PPE and following all GMPs.
