Quality Technicians are required to interact with upper management, facility employees, and customers on a daily basis to ensure high quality safe work environment while adhering to HACCP, BRC and MBM Guiding Principles

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Review of quality information input into the quality systems

  • Interpret the information given and be able to produce an effective root cause and corrective action

  • Corrective actions must be clear and concise and easily understandable by customers that do not understand our internal processes

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ months quality experience or training

  • Strong Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • 6+ months experience in statistical analysis (to include training and/or education)

  • Up to 10% travel to customer, required training, and other GP facilities as needed

  • Must be able to complete 5 "whys" or some other type of root cause and corrective action plan

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma training

  • Previous paper testing and/or TAPPI Testing.

These duties include janitorial and sanitation. The sanitation tech must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within a line or area. * Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner. * Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level. * Responsible for implementing site and corporate Food, Safety and sanitation initiatives. * Work in conjunction with the quality team. * Participates in Food Safety inspections and reports. * Executive Master Cleaning schedule. * Performs all shift support documentation in a quality manner * Demonstrates high degree of ownership for product quality: Performs all standard sanitation checks and other sanitation related duties. QUALIFICATIONS: * Work mandatory overtime as required. * Flexibility to switch shifts as required. * Record keeping, and organizational skills. * Ability to read, write and understand English. * Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE: * Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP's, and safety documents. * Understands the importance of safety and quality. * 2 or more years in food manufacturing with production floor experience. * Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
