What youwill do:

  • Provide quality support to necessarymanufacturing operations and new product launches.

  • Work in a manufacturing environment and applyQA & QC knowledge into manufacturing processes.

  • Support ISO 9001:2015 as well as otherregulatory, agency and notified body internal and external Audits.

  • Support quality improvement efforts indesignated areas with an ultimate goal of improving "zero defects"performance.

  • Work with Quality team to implement relatedroot cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Track and measure critical processes within theplant

  • Assist in the investigation and disposition ofNon-conforming material.

  • Initiate Supplier Material Rejection Reportsfor supplier non-conformities.

  • Conduct acceptance inspection and testing onincoming materials as well as required testing and documentation onmanufactured products using various measurement/inspection equipment.

  • Assist in gathering data, compiling informationand assisting management in development of metrics and reports.

  • Perform audit in assigned manufacturing areasas needed and directed by supervisor

  • Conduct non-destructive testing and documentresults once trained and qualified in NDT disciplines.

What welook for:

  • Associates or Technical Degree with 1 year minimum experience in amanufacturing environment or high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years ofmanufacturing quality experience.

  • Appreciation for and willingness to promote asafety oriented work environment.

  • Previous pressure vessel manufacturingexperience is a plus.

  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 standards andfacilitating continuous improvement using formal quality methodology and toolsis a plus.

  • Experience with and proficiency in completingPPAP documentation is a plus.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and handlemultiple demands concurrently.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, SAP andother computer software.

  • Positive attitude and ability to influenceothers to promote world class quality.

Perform Supplier Quality Engineering duties for a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical parts and assemblies: * Determine Purchase Order requirements flow-down * Conduct supplier capability and risk assessments * Resolution of incoming inspection issues, questions, concerns * Resolution of supplier caused defects including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action * Resolution of material problem reports and material review board requests * Supports shipyard production Quality team as necessary Must be able to travel to supplier locations, at times on short notice. Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications * Excellent communication skills * Ability to perform root cause analysis * Understanding of the Material Review Board process * Understanding of supplier quality processes * Outstanding time management and task prioritization Desired Skills: Desired skills * CWI Level 2 or higher desired * Familiarity with SAP quality transactions * Knowledge of AS9100and ISO 9001 * Greenbelt certification * Ability to develop and present metrics * Knowledge of estimating, and basis of estimate creating * Technical skills: mechanical or electrical engineering * Basic knowledge of mechanical and metal fabrication processes * Ability to use basic inspection equipment and gauges * Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) * Ability to understand Engineering Drawings requirements, basic verification methods, and be able to work in fast pace environment to resolve non-compliances in a timely manner * Ability to work with customer, suppliers, and other LM functions to resolve material issues, identify improvements needed and verify implementation * Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment * Ability to perform audits of supplier processes, or internal LM processes as needed * General knowledge of ship fabrication processes, general understanding of High Speed Naval Vessel Requirements, NAVSEA requirements, and contractual requirements * General understanding of risk assessments of suppliers, including RBAT/COMBAT… BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
