Duties & Responsibilities include:
Work with minimal supervision to perform complex quality control inspections for (FAI) First Article Inspections utilizing product prints, gauges, calipers, micrometers, measuring tape, digital measuring scale, gauge pins, comparator.
In depth ability to interpret Product Prints and Drawings.
Assist in cause and corrective action investigations with returns or customer complaints. Verifying compliance of material in stock.
Verification of customer return materials and sorting process.
Work under deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Gather & maintain pertinent documentation as assigned.
Assist in development of Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures documenting process flow and inspection criteria.
Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, decision-making abilities, work independently on assigned tasks, good time management & organizational skills. Must be a problem solver.
Provide guidance to other QC associates with effective communication and training when applicable.
Develop knowledge of product lines from Raw materials to Finished Goods.
Perform Quality Audits when applicable.
Managing CARs (Corrective Action Request) utilizing QCBD and completing in a timely manner.
Assist PD Engineering with product dimensional readings as requested.
Maintain calibration records for metrology equipment utilizing QCBD database.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager such as dimensional evaluations on current or new product to assist with potential product print updates, etc.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
3-6 months working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Must have technical skill to be trained to utilize Micro Vu & Keyence measuring systems and Color Spectrophotometer.
Technical knowledge & ability within a manufacturing environment, assisting in solving quality issues verses machine issues on the production floor.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and all other related software. Intermediate MS Excel skills.
Strong emphasis on safety.
PPE use required.
