AMETEK Hughes-Treitler (HT) is the industry leader in high-performance, plate-fin, Aluminum/Inconel heat exchangers for Military and Commercial Engine, Rotary, Airframe, and similar applications. HT specializes in custom build-to-specification applications where thermal performance, weight, structural and reliability are key considerations. HT provides Engine Surface Coolers, Fuel-Cooled Oil Coolers, Air-Cooled Oil Coolers, high temperature Buffer/Pre-Coolers, and bundled Heat Exchanger/Fan/Blower/Duct systems for the most challenging applications/requirements.
The Quality Specialist will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team and will be primarily responsible for reviewing Customer RFQ's/PO's, identifying Quality Clauses, and performing hardware and documentation reviews as part of the shipping process. Other task include document control and calibration record updating.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D or ISO9001 standards and requirements
Experience with contract, purchase order or customer requirements review. Specifically, identification and interpretation of Customer flow-down in the form of Quality Clauses and other specific Customer requirements
Well organized with the ability to prioritize work tasks and adjust as needed
Capable of Interfacing with multiple disciplines including Customer Service, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Etc.
Willingness to learn the product lifecycle and all facets that support product realization here at AHT
Support Corrective Action and Non-Conforming Problem-Solving activities.
Become a customer designated quality representative in order to interface with customers and ship product.
When required, assist Manufacturing personnel to ensure products are conforming to requirements as identified on Drawings/ PO's
Participates in Problem Solving Teams and Root Cause Analysis
Support Regulatory and Customer audits as needed
Recommend changes to processes based upon identified Gaps and audit findings.
Ability to maintain appropriate records relating to QA review and to quantify progress against established goals
Report department metrics to management daily/weekly/monthly as needed
Review product manufacturing and quality records to verify completeness and acceptability
Perform other duties as needed
