2nd Shift: 1:30pm to 9:30pm

About This Role:

The Quality Technician I role is the first point of contact for production personnel regarding quality issues. The quality technician is responsible for documenting non-conforming events as well as identifying and segregating impacted material. The position requires creative thinking and investigation skills to resolve problems that arise on a production line manufacturing more than 10,000 units per day. The quality technician will be responsible for supporting multiple production areas keeping material flowing and assuring quality requirements are maintained throughout the process.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Perform project and product testing

  • Assist engineers in failure analysis

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.

  • Assist with quality issues and quality metrics related activities.

  • Document non-conforming events and quarantine impacted material

  • Perform testing, gather data, and analyze results of product testing and process monitoring.

  • Assist with CAPA activities

  • Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests.

  • Assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials, designs and/or systems.

  • Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all activities in the Device Master Record (DMR) have been performed and approved.

  • Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities.

  • Use the inventory and traceability management systems to transact and research material.

  • Communicate with a wide variety of BSC personnel in and outside of the plant.

What We're Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or GED degree

  • 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Strong written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA Degree

  • 1-2 years in the medical device field in a quality role

  • Experience in SAP or equivalent MRP system

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Workstation error proofing experience

About the role: This Quality Technician II is in direct support of medical device manufacturing in the Access and Delivery Solutions Assembly (ADSA) area on 2nd shift (4 day/10hr shift, M-Thurs, 3 PM - 1 AM). You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in product quality and compliance, owning and reporting non-conformances, and will be a key partner to the Production and Manufacturing teams in achieving metrics and objectives. Your responsibilities include: * Perform project and product testing. * Perform basic statistical analysis and communicate results to teams. * Contribute support for CAPA activities. * Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects. * Perform testing, gather and record data, analyze results and report product and in-process monitoring test results. * Assist with process and product qualification activities. * Assists during audit activities. * Assist with product failure analysis. * Create and maintain data files and forms. * Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests. * Assist in developing and qualifying test methods, data sheets, test fixtures, and testing equipment. * Train peers on processes and methods. * Initiate and assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials, designs and/or systems. * Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all activities in the Device Master Record (DMR) have been performed and approved. * Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities. * Use the inventory and traceability management systems to transact and research material. * Communicate with a wide variety of BSC personnel in and outside of the plant.
