QUALITY SYSTEMS MANAGER FOOD MANUFACTURER

Salary $100,000 - $120,000 Plus Excellent Benefits & Paid Relocation to Wisconsin

Growing food manufacturer is seeking a Quality Systems Manager who is results oriented and driven by desire to have a positive impact and deliver exceptional results by seeking to continuously develop themselves and their team. As Quality Systems Manager, youd be accountable for leading all food safety & quality system programs, including process & finished product quality, analytical testing, managing the analytical laboratory, supporting production & Sanitation Programs. This position will report to the departmental Director.

Responsibilities for the Quality Systems Manager:

Establish goals & objectives for the Quality department including: development and implementation of food safety, food quality and sanitation programs

Ensure delivery of safe, quality products with minimization of risk

Carry out food safety and quality assessment including validations of manufacturing processes, HACCP/FSMA Food safety plans, food quality plans, environmental, microbiological monitoring programs and finished product testing, hygiene and sanitation programs

Develop strategies to proactively identify potential food safety, quality and regulatory issues

Support the manufacturing facility in meeting food safety and quality objectives

Investigate and resolve escalated plant issues that include quality, priority consumer complaints, and FDA/USDA regulatory matters

Ensure food safety and quality individual and departmental capabilities including hiring, on-boarding, training, and other growth and developmental opportunities

Develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement in internal GMP, Food Safety and Quality Management systems audits

Effectively manage pest control environment.

Requirements for this Quality Systems Managers position:
1.Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemical, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or similar
2.Minimum 10 years of hands-on management or supervisory experience in Quality and Lab area in Food or related industry
3.Must have knowledge of HACCP, SQF, & Food Safety, hygiene & sanitation procedures, safety requirements, food manufacturing regulations (USDA, FDA), GMP

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 Summary of Major Responsibilities The Senior Manager, Quality Systems is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of technical processes, procedures and work instruction, and administration in the implementation and maintenance of documentation processes in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Primary responsibilities include the implementation and administration of quality processes, records and data projects, including assurance of proper record control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Own and manage document control process in the document management system for approval and release of Quality System documents. * Key contributor for developing consistent strategies for Quality System requirements and improvements, and quality record workflow optimization. * Manage and monitor milestones and detail timelines for assigned commercial products to ensure the achievement of corporate goals and objectives. * Provide timely and transparent communication to project teams and upper management, including establishment of effective metrics for Management Review. * Work closely with key stakeholders and senior management to develop strategy for long range operational and resource planning. * Provide scientific and technical leadership during internal and Notified Body Inspection/Audit situations. * Manage and administer all processes related to the employee life cycle. This includes the training of personnel on company and department policies, systems and processes. * Manage and ensure the setting of operational objectives for staff and provide regularly scheduled feedback throughout the year. * Ensure staff receives appropriate knowledge and skill development and growth opportunities. * Coach and develop staff by providing an environment that encourages ongoing personal and professional development. * Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time. * Ability to sit for an extended period of time. * Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with employees in person, via the telephone or by email. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally (< 10%). * Ability to stand for extended periods of time and up to 6 hours at a time. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree in physical or life sciences and minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. * 8+ years of experience in a direct Quality Assurance role. * 5+ years of experience in a direct supervisory role with demonstrated success in motivating and effective performance management of others. * Demonstrated configuration management experience for automated systems such as EtQ Reliance™, Agile PLM or MasterControl®. * Demonstrated expertise with advance Microsoft® Office programs. * Direct experience in leading notified body audit, CAPA implementation and preparation of Management Reviews. * Direct experience working within an CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and/or cGMP structured environment. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Strong decision-making skills. * Ability to communicate ideas, opinions and counter arguments in a proactive and professional manner. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and record keeping skills. Preferred Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP and/or ISO13485 environment. * Demonstrated experience with SAP® business software. * Experience with Project Management principles and practice. * Demonstrated experience with Design Control implementation. * Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma techniques. #LI-MF1 We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
