How you'll make a difference?

We're looking for an intern to join our creative Quality Systems team. Our team is hard-working, smart, goal-oriented, and creative, and we're looking for an intern to contribute to our Quality Systems projects and objectives. The intern hired for this position should expect to participate in several Quality Systems disciplines, including quality data mining, establishing Key Performance Indicators, data management, and developing data collection and analysis tools used to provide continuous improvement. The Quality Systems Engineering Intern will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge.

What will be your Duties and Responsibilities?

  • Under general supervision, create and update documentation and quality tools used for the assessment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) used to assess the health of key quality and manufacturing inputs.

  • Support quality assurance in developing and implementing procedures, process instructions, data management tools, and systems necessary to assure product quality and support Quality Performance KPI monitoring and management.

  • Trend and monitor Quality Systems data. Establish control limits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Evaluates and propose implementation of technology to improve Quality and Manufacturing process capability.

What skills will you need?

  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited university as an undergraduate or graduate student. Qualified candidates will be working towards a Biomedical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree.

  • Be in excellent academic standing, minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Have knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio), and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau. A good working knowledge of using Excel macros, pivot tables, etc., is preferred.

  • Should possess strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently.
