Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Quality Assurance Inspectors (QA) and Quality Engineers (QE) about problems or concerns.

  • Disposition of non-conformance area with QE approval.

  • Assist with and maintain control of Quality & Manufacturing data specific forms & work instructions, including distribution/removal of obsolete forms/work instructions.

  • Create, maintain and update Quality Floor Books for Production.

  • Assist Production Trainer with training of Operators and Quality Inspectors documentation/procedures/equipment & gages.

  • Communicate and post all Quality Alerts.

  • Create and update boundary boards.

  • Perform monthly analysis of nonconformance area.

  • Assist with and manage internal sorts as necessary.

  • Perform and assist with dock audits when required.

  • Work with Production on continuous improvements as related to Quality.

  • Provide Customer Support as needed

  • Assist in calibration as needed

  • Oversee day to day activities of Quality Inspectors and Launch Containment.

  • Back-up for Quality Inspectors when needed.

  • Contribute to the Company Quality Objectives

  • All other tasks as deemed necessary.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience in roles of Operations or Quality Supervision

  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal

  • Computer Skills MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Root cause analysis techniques

  • Good measuring skills

  • Able to read a blue print and differentiate colors

  • Must be able to work in a team or individual environment

  • Self-motivated individual

  • Must have the ability to pay attention to detail

  • Must be able to work a flexible shift, including overtime and weekends

Responsibilities: * Operate assembly/or molding machine and auxiliary equipment. * Inspect assembled or molded parts/assemblies as processed per work instructions * Follow all safety guidelines and procedures * Trouble-shoot and repair minor machine problems * Restart machine after repair or notify Automation Technician if repair is unsuccessful * Package parts per work instructions * Responsible for notifying Line Leads, Quality Inspector, Automation Technician and/or Supervisor of any and all defects detected * Responsible to maintain assigned workstation in an organized and clean manner * Must remain at workstation unless on break/lunch or authorized by the correct chain of command * Must complete daily an accurate production report recording scrap and produced parts * Remove any old labels from gaylords, boxes, and labels * Other duties may be assigned.
