Role Overview
Kodak is looking for a Quality Supervisor to join the Finishing team in Kodak's Advanced Materials and Chemicals Division in Rochester, NY.
In this position you will work in a great environment with a bright future. As a Quality Supervisor you will direct the Quality and Planning aspects of Finishing's products and processes, and work both independently and with teams on related activities.
As a Quality Supervisor you will:
Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) in Finishing and make appropriate modifications as needed
Develop robust certification testing and protocols for products & processes, and modify existing as needed
Oversee the ISO 9001 registration/certification process with our external auditor
Perform internal auditing of the QMS system in Finishing and other operations as needed
Lead projects and product introductions utilizing Kodak's Gate process methodology
Provide Data Analysis and Data Reporting on QMS measures and as needed for other requirements
Supervise a small group of Finishing Quality Technicians
Assist in training and mentoring of new Technicians as needed
Supervise and Mentor Finishing's manufacturing Materials Planner and Data Specialist
Interact with component suppliers relating to quality and/or specification change control as needed
Provide priorities and clarification to subordinates for their required tasks
Required Skills/Experience:
B.S. in an engineering field or a minimum of 5 years or work experience in a relevant position
Must possess a strong knowledge / familiarity with mechanical and industrial systems
Familiarity in working with suppliers in critical process changes/new material certifications
Understanding of statistics and familiarity with statistical software
Skilled in decision making with an excellent sense of judgement on product dispositions, as well as identifying issue/challenges and leading product team to execute solutions
Multi-tasking while using verbal and written communication skills to not only supervise but also work collaboratively with other manufacturing areas, departments, customers, and business units
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proven ability to work, lead and represent an organization in Quality
Strong knowledge of ISO9001, Quality Management Systems, Change Management Processes, Document Management and Document Writing
Knowledge of film manufacturing, film use, testing & examination, and how film works
Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Access, Teams, and other MS Office Software
Ability to understand, diagnose and write programs in Visual Basic and other similar programming languages
Experience Level: At least 5-yrs of experience
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree
