What you'll do...
Can you communicate on the fly and make quick decisions?
At our Chicago, IL location, you'll work in a fast paced environment in our FI&A division (Functional Ingredients & Actives) manufacturing vingegar. You'll update and support food safety programs and food safety systems: HACCP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring program.
There are exciting projects happening at this location which requires everyone's participation so we can produce the best products possible. Ensure work instructions, SSOPs, procedures and other pertinent documentation is up to date. Recommend revisions plant work instructions as needed.
Do you enjoy working along side employees from all divisions? Being a QA Supervisor requires working with cross-functional teams on the plant floor, investigating and solving complex issues, making decisions quickly with little information, and training and mentoring others.
The work can be challenging at times, tracking all of the numbers for the facility, and ensuring we are producing a quality product.
Qualifications and skills
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study such as Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering
Minimum 2+ years of quality experience in a food/beverage manufacturing environment
2+ years of relevant GFSI standards experience such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FS 22000
Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety regulations, FSMA, and industry and market trends
Ability to travel to other sites 30% or more and work independently
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and we prefer experience with LIMS, MAPIX, SAP
