Where you'll work
At our Union City, CA location, you'll work in a fast paced sweet & cereals environment on the 2nd shift.
What you'll do:
You'll update and support food safety programs and food safety systems: HACCP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring program.
Maintain the quality systems for the plant. Ensure work instructions, SSOPs, procedures and other pertinent documentation is up to date. Recommend revisions plant work instructions as needed.
Investigating the root cause of an issue and developing sustainable solutions are key aspects of the QA Supervisor role.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study such as Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering
Minimum 1-2 years of quality experience preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of relevant GFSI standards such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FS 22000
Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety regulations, FSMA, and industry and market trends
Strong team leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to demonstrate the following key competencies: Technical Expertise, Strategic Thinking & Influence, Process Optimization & Product Knowledge, and Leading & Managing Change
