Collins Aerospace is looking for a Quality Strategic Program Engineer who will provide project management support to various quality strategic initiatives in the Quality organization. You will manage the deployment of new Quality initiatives across a number of sites that are domestic and international for the Aerostructures Group (ASG).
Work within a cross functional team supporting the Quality organization by managing and driving to closure of their activities and schedules.
Improve processes and drive actions that come out of Continuous Improvement events
Travel to manufacturing sites to assist in quality CI events
Running and driving regular meetings with the Quality Leadership to understand status and open issues.
Coordinate and oversee schedules to ensure on-time delivery of Quality deliverables.
Track deliverables and action items between suppliers, customer and Collins Aerospace.
Create and maintain visual controls for management status meetings.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
Experience working on a manufacturing shop floor
Working experience of Quality and Continuous Improvement tools
Project Engineering background
Comfortably interacting with senior level leadership (correspondence, presentations and meetings)
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Experience working in a central quality or manufacturing organization
Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent
Practitioner of Continuous Improvement tools
Experience in the aerospace industry
APQP experience (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
