QUALITY STANDARDS SPECIALIST Reading, PA

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Maintains policies and procedures relate to AS9100, NADCAP, ISO9001 and other related standards, company-wide.

  • Provides implementation, training, maintenance and auditing expertise for company / customer quality standards.

  • Ensures the completion of quality audits for Company companies, customers and third parties. Ensures that internal and customer corrective actions, as well as customer claims are resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Maintain and improve the supplier quality audit (SQA) process. Participate in supplier audit and control. Reviews supplier audit findings with the suppliers to communicate their performance and discuss corrective measures as necessary.

  • Establishes a central Quality records database and ensures integrity of the data and data accessibility. Maintains customer required documents including PPAP's, VAP's and Control Plans. Maintains systems and procedures for containment of non-conforming materials and products throughout the company. Maintains supplier quality representative (SQR) requirements. Understands risk analysis and mitigation strategies. Prepares and maintains FMEA's.

  • Perform functions related to customer designated supplier quality representative (DSQR) material review board (DSQE) and concession process requirements. Review and approve customer specifications, customer quality agreements, routing changes, and product site transfers.

  • Apply advanced continuous improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma, master inspection, measurement and sampling control (SPC) to stabilize processes and maintain process capacity.

  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Four year college technical or business degree. 5+ years of relevant quality experience.

  • Expert knowledge of quality system management, audit and corrective action processes and root cause analysis.

  • The ideal candidate will require strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities and be well organized and able to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced and every changing work environment.

  • Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts.

  • Ability to work independently of others and be self-directive and goal oriented but possess the ability to work in a team as the team leader or on the team with other auditors when required.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-18T00:00 Principal Purpose of Position: * Leads in the design, development, integration, implementation and support of SAP related IT solutions for Carpenter's business applications as directed. * Drives timely resolution of assigned issues through their entire life-cycle – Inception to Closure. * Fluent in SAP project methodology and helps to develop project plans accordingly. * Creates and meets project milestones and deadlines in a timely manner. * Leads crucial conversations during design, build, and implementation with various business stakeholders and peers from other cross-functional teams. * Aids in defining, documenting and managing project scope, goals, priorities, deliverables and timelines that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. * Designs solutions and configures applications to support project design and testing, business needs. * Fluent knowledge of data model for specific SAP functional area, helps with data mapping, and data enrichment activities during project, and creates queries to support ad-hoc reporting requirements. * Communicates effectively with business to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. * Directs and assists lower level Analysts with project taska and non-standard requests. * Assists the business users with activities related to software change requests, including creation and execution of test scripts to test business functionality. * Creates End user training documentation, business process procedures, establishment of training plans, and helps to deliver user training. * Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. * Leads in basic system configuration and helps to support SAP functional area to meet business requirements and bring to resolution to business problems. * Develops and executes application testing and assists in coordinating testing with business users throughout the organization. * Writes functional specification based on business requirements for development objects including reports, interfaces, conversations, enhancements, forms, and workflows. Education and/or Training: * B.S. degree in computer science or related field or a combination of business related function experience, education, or related certifications with experience. Relevant Work Experience/Skills: * Minimum 10 years of related experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4 HANA ERP systems or other relative system experience. * Experience on SAP QM, MM/IM, DM * SAP PP & Purchasing preferred * Experience in Quality Management Configuration * Experience with design and management of the Inspection Plan, Samples, Test Results entry and disposition, and Quality Stock management * Experience with design and management of Quality Notification workflows * Understanding of laboratory test equipment management * Experience with QM subsystems such as LIMS * Experience with QM in Procurement * Experience with designing certification solutions * Works cross functionally to drive Integration issues * Demonstrated communication skills with all levels of an organization * Experience with multiple Go Lives: Design, Development, Implementation and Support * Training curriculum development * Working on deliverables with blended resources (offshore, multi-vendors, onsite) * Demonstrated understanding of business processes in the metals industry preferred * SAP Fiore/UI/UX Development a plus * SAP functional and configuration experience including project implementation involvement. * Demonstrated business knowledge or experience for specific functional area. * Knowledge of excel including using macros a plus * Highly effective communication / presentation skills * Strong collaboration skills and comfortable working in a team environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong time management skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. * Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment. * Develops competence in own area by performing structured and/or routine work.
