QUALITY STANDARDS SPECIALIST Reading, PA
Maintains policies and procedures relate to AS9100, NADCAP, ISO9001 and other related standards, company-wide.
Provides implementation, training, maintenance and auditing expertise for company / customer quality standards.
Ensures the completion of quality audits for Company companies, customers and third parties. Ensures that internal and customer corrective actions, as well as customer claims are resolved in a timely fashion.
Maintain and improve the supplier quality audit (SQA) process. Participate in supplier audit and control. Reviews supplier audit findings with the suppliers to communicate their performance and discuss corrective measures as necessary.
Establishes a central Quality records database and ensures integrity of the data and data accessibility. Maintains customer required documents including PPAP's, VAP's and Control Plans. Maintains systems and procedures for containment of non-conforming materials and products throughout the company. Maintains supplier quality representative (SQR) requirements. Understands risk analysis and mitigation strategies. Prepares and maintains FMEA's.
Perform functions related to customer designated supplier quality representative (DSQR) material review board (DSQE) and concession process requirements. Review and approve customer specifications, customer quality agreements, routing changes, and product site transfers.
Apply advanced continuous improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma, master inspection, measurement and sampling control (SPC) to stabilize processes and maintain process capacity.
Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Four year college technical or business degree. 5+ years of relevant quality experience.
Expert knowledge of quality system management, audit and corrective action processes and root cause analysis.
The ideal candidate will require strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities and be well organized and able to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced and every changing work environment.
Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
Ability to work independently of others and be self-directive and goal oriented but possess the ability to work in a team as the team leader or on the team with other auditors when required.
