Join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Lewisville, Texas)

A Quality Specialist is responsible for inspecting and/or testing products before, during, and after the manufacturing process to ensure that products align with company and legal standards

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and material or product specifications

  • Inspect, test, and measure materials or products that are received or produced

  • Analyze measurements and test data

  • Determine acceptance or non-conformance of products or materials received or produced

  • Compose inspection reports

  • Operate electronic and manual inspection tools and equipment

  • Data entry and material transactions using MS Excel, Service Ticket tool and SAP

  • Ability to perform mathematical computation using fundamental statistics, geometry, and trigonometry

  • Performs other duties that may be assigned

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience or related training or education from an ASQ recognized institution

  • MS Windows and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge of and ability to operate electronic and manual inspection tools and equipment

  • Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)- preferred, not required

  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) software such as SAP- preferred, not required

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or suppliers.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance and/or use of devices.

Ability to see, hear, and communicate (with or without corrective devices) in a manner that will allow the employee to perform the essential functions in a safe and proficient manner.

Employee must be able to conform to current health and safety protocols and may be exposed to various chemicals such as lactol fuel, cleaners, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay wage: $23/hr+ DOE
  • Shift: Day shift (7am-3:30pm)
  • Competitive compensation, including Annual Bonuses & Merit Increases
