Overview:

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement initiatives within the organization. They are responsible for enhancing the overall quality of products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Quality Improvement Coordinator will work closely with various departments to identify areas of improvement, design, and track the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans and strategies in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Coordinate and lead quality improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established objectives.

  • Collect, analyze, and report data of quality metrics and performance indicators, using the data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the impact of quality initiatives.

  • Develop and update policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and requirements.

  • Provide training and education to operators on quality improvement methods and tools.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.

  • Proven experience in a quality or continuous improvement role or similar leadership role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Strong leadership communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues.

  • Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and project management.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or off-hours as needed to support off shift operations.

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
