Baker Hughes, a GE Company has an opening for a Quality Specialist to be based in Midland, TX. This position will apply and improve the Quality Management System processes related to Operations across Oilfield Services and use continuous improvements techniques to drive process improvements along the oilfield service, enabling BHGE to continue to supply its customers with the highest quality products.
Accountable for ensuring and implementing compliance with Baker Hughes' Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001, API, Customer, or applicable industry standard.
Act as a Lead Auditor to perform internal and supplier audits, along with supporting all customer and compliance audits. Issues corrective actions and completes required documentation and effectiveness review.
Drive Competency Management Program (CMP) compliance.
Culture of Quality
Identification of opportunities (lean projects) to improve service execution and cost reduction.
Drives continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Monthly communication of QMS leading/lagging indicators for date driven decision making.
Assures that all products and processes achieve the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
Provides support to division's operation groups by assisting with the quality program design.
Work closely with customers to maintain Quality standards and requirements.
Performs follow up work on corrective actions required, including documentation of corrective procedures.
Demonstrate project management best practices and use of quality management tools and handle special projects as required.
Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values, Baker Hughes HSE policies, and Legal Compliance requirements.
Associate's Degree preferred with 3+ years of Quality or Reliability experience
Some quality experience directly supporting manufacturing, service, or engineering
In depth knowledge of industry quality standards ISO, API, DS1
Root cause corrective action analysis experience
Six sigma DMAIC experience or knowledge of these tools
Strong experience with excel and databases to show trend analysis
Good analytical skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Facilitation and presentation skills
Lean six sigma and root cause analysis knowledge
Lead auditor training
