Position Summary

The Quality Specialist is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by effectively performing the activities as directed to ensure quality and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. These activities may include reviewing documents and data, conducting basic floor audits and inspections and maintaining quality databases. The position assists with the development of SOPs or other quality documents as needed. The position requires superior leadership behaviors of the Alcami core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in functional competencies included in this position profile.

Essential Functions

  • Performs quality review and approval of documents, data, basic protocols, and/or reports.

  • Performs basic quality floor audits and/or floor inspections.

  • Provides quality evaluation and release of support materials, and intermediate products as required.

  • Maintains quality databases.

  • Assists with quality improvement initiatives as needed.

  • Assists with development of SOPs or other quality documents as needed.

  • Maintains accurate files and records.

  • Complies with company policies and SOPs.

  • Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 2+ years GMP related experience, or equivalent educational and work experience.

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Position Overview: Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this position's primary responsibility is to maintain customer account records, processing cash receipts, as well as general accounting functions associated with reconciling account balances and inquires to obtain missing information or verify unusual data. An intermediate level of computer skills is required, usually involving accounting software and spreadsheets to enter, compile or extract data. Job Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Functions: * Run the daily billing function (from shipping notes) in Ross. Contact appropriate personnel for discrepancies / unbilled items. Create manual add-on pallet charges. * Create manual invoices for R&D Trials, take/pay, and other billings. Maintain supporting documentation and approvals. * Monitor bank remittance (credits). Enter cash receipts on customer accounts. Balance bank transactions to AR customer postings. * Applying cash on account for our dispenser sales, including credit card sales. * Monitor customer past due payment status, including weekly email reports outs to Controller and CFO and elevating issues to the Accounting Supervisor and Sales, as necessary. * Monitor customer credit holds and communicate with Customer Service or the Controller / CFO. Obtain approvals for credit hold releases. * Run credit reports as instructed by the Controller / CFO or other managers. * Reconcile AR accounts with customers as required. Follow-up with internal personnel of the customer as required. * Backup to the Deductions Specialist including handling customer disputes, credit note processing and deduction backup. Misc. Duties: * Makes recommendations to Accounting Supervisor regarding trends though data collection and repetitive observation in order to anticipate solutions and identify organizational opportunities to capitalize on changes and adjustments. * Escalates any complex customer concerns or issues to the Accounting Supervisor. * Maintains a robust working knowledge of accounting processes and guidelines to answer questions and troubleshoot problems as they arise. * Contributes to a team and collaborative environment by accomplishing related project or tasks as needed to assist with department workflow and output. * Ensures that required competencies to carry out these job functions affecting product legality, safety and quality are met in accordance with the Quality Policy and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard. * Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the companys Good Manufacturing Practices * Back up for Accounts Payable Specialist as required. * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent * 3-5 years or accounting (payable, receivable) experience * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Demonstrated organizational skills, detail orientation, accuracy and the ability to multi-task * Demonstrated professional communication abilities (written and verbal), and strong work ethic.
