Position Objective

This analyst position's main focus is complaint investigation, coordination and finding of root cause for variances in our manufacturing and quality processes. The analyst will develop KPIs and help develop continuous improvement efforts to eliminate complaint sources. Analyst performs some administrative function as well as lab testing and will be part of the quality technical team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and contribute in Health & Safety, Security and Environmental activities (SAFE Meetings, BBS Observer, HS&E Training, Housekeeping, 5S, Recycling, Waste Management, etc.) 15%

  • Complaint coordination, recertification and testing 60%

  • Administrative function 10%

  • Continuous Improvement team function 5%

  • Vendor Audits 5%

  • Other duties as assigned 5%

Hours

Qualified candidates must be able to work first shift or second shift hours.

First Shift: Monday

  • Friday, 6:00 a.m.

  • 2:30 p.m. (CDT).

Second Shift: Monday

  • Friday, 2:00 p.m.

  • 10:30 p.m. (CDT).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.

  • 0-2 years of experience to include experience in laboratory testing.

  • Knowledge of mathematics up through calculus.

  • Must be able to distinguish colors.

  • Organizational and communication skills. Must be able to pay attention to detail.

  • Critical and logical thinking skills.

  • Customer service skills.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).

Physical Requirements

  • Working conditions will consist of a lab and plant environment that has the potential of exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.

  • Physical requirements are standing for periods of time, sitting, working on a computer, walking, writing, kneeling, and crouching.

  • On occasion lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance.

  • The employee must have good vision, including peripheral vision and depth perception.

  • The employee will regularly have to work around moving forklifts, coating factory equipment such as mixing equipment, pumps, filling equipment, etc. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as Lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, will be provided to the employee and will be mandatory to wear in accordance with the department PPE hazard assessment. The employee will be responsible for ensuring the PPE is in operating condition.

As an Appeals Officer you provide the final administrative opportunity for taxpayers to resolve tax disputes without litigation by applying the hazards of litigation and using a Quasi-Judicial approach. A fair, impartial administration of the tax laws contributes significantly to taxpayer cooperation and voluntary compliance. Additionally, at this level, the Appeals Officer is responsible for working with the most highly skilled and technically proficient Appeals and IRS Compliance employees, as well as external taxpayers and representatives. As an Appeals Officer AQMS Reviewer you will: * Performs closed case reviews using Appeals Quality Standards and Attributes (AQSA). Decides nature and extent of review necessary. Interprets and applies AQSA using the Appeals Quality Measurement Standards Guideline. * Evaluates Appeals case work by the application of closed case review standards and related specific attributes and procedures as defined by the Guideline. Determines whether conclusions reached by Appeals are consistent with tax law, procedure and policy requirements. * Manages and coordinates assigned programs and projects. Acts as a contact point for related program activities. Develops and distributes instructional material when appropriate. Prepares, maintains and updates technical/desk procedures. Conducts research, and provides guidance, feedback, reports and analyses on program operations and results. * Analyzes and reviews case files, supporting documents and other information for adequate factual and technical development of issues; the proper application of tax law, Appeals policies and procedures; and appropriate case resolution and settlement. * Works with team members to identify ways to improve the quality review process.
