What will you be doing in this role?
Execute PFS Quality Review program within assigned area of PFS -- under limited supervision and guidelines and within CSHS policies and procedures. Develop and track departmental Quality review (QR) indicators and report findings.
Perform independent Quality Reviews of individual performance as needed to supplement supervisory reviews.
Analyze findings to identify and offer solutions for new and innovative ways to improve processes within the department.
Function as a positive, creative, and effective contributor, actively participating in performance improvement activities and consulting in implementation of education programs.
Assess training needs, develop training program and deliver raining. Standardize, publish, and maintain PFS policies, procedures, and job aids.
Respond to regulatory and contractual changes impacting the practices of the department and ensure prompt communication and implementation of appropriate procedures.
Act as a technical subject matter expert in the use of policies, procedures, and systems in support of the PFS goal to achieve maximum patient account collections and minimum accounts receivable days thus directly and specifically contributing the medical center cash flow.
Serve as a resource for PFS management and staff regarding processes, procedures, and system fluency.
Education: high school diploma/GED. Undergraduate degree or equivalent related work experience -- strongly preferred.
Certification: After successful completion of probation, will be required to obtain Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (RHB) Principal Trainer certification necessary to participate in CS-Link HB training environment patient build.
Experience & skills:
High level of working knowledge and expertise relating to hospital billing and collections / customer service / revenue cycle performance, typically gained through five (5) or more years of experience. Preference will be given to individual with experience in multiple areas and/or with supervisory or management experience.
Knowledge of CQI theory and principles.
Training / coaching experience required, including knowledge of adult learning theory, and raining curriculum development and delivery.
Experience in software applications that support quality-monitoring (i.e., Excel, Access, Power Point, and Word)--strongly preferred.
Proficient in flowcharting and project management--strongly preferred.
Excellent presentation, organization, and analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills--required.
High motivation and demonstrated ability to maintain courteous and professional working relationships across all levels.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with short time-lines, prioritize and organize work, and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems taking decisive action in a timely manner.
