Quality Performance Improvement Senior Consultant

The Quality Performance Improvement Senior Consultant will partner with other region consultants in supporting the Regional Vice President and the Operation System through providing consultation services and subject-matter expertise to centers and campuses in the areas of quality assurance, quality improvement, process/performance improvement as well as regulatory and procedural compliance. The Senior Consultant also will ensure that the Society's mission and vision are an integral part of how local QAPI coordinators/teams understand how quality impacts their centers.
Broad knowledge of healthcare or business operations and practices typically gained through a four year degree in nursing, health information management, healthcare administration or related healthcare field. Specific knowledge of consultation, quality assurance and quality improvement principles and techniques required.
Prior experience desired. Systems thinking with critical analysis skills desired. Experience with applicable rules, laws, and enforcement agencies, analytical skills, negotiation skills, professional appearance, effective communicator, long term care experience is desired.
Language: Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general trade or professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Must be able to write reports and business correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, field staff, regulatory representatives and the general public.
Reasoning: Must be able to apply principle of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Must be able to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). Must be able to deal with variety of abstract concrete variables.
Technical: Must have a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software and computer equipment such as personal computers and terminals.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Must be able to create and interpret bar graphs and run charts.
