The Technical Consultant is part of the Quality and Performance team and will be providing professional restaurant equipment and technical consulting and support to various groups throughout the organization; defining root causes for trending and systemic kitchen equipment and building issues - primarily focusing on Building Systems that include HVAC units and control systems, kitchen hood ventilation, walk-in refrigeration, and electrical systems. You will also have common technical knowledge of Electrical Systems & Components, Mechanical & Exhaust Systems & Components and Plumbing Systems & Components. The Quality and Performance team is tasked with continuously monitoring, measuring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of existing assets in order to discover defects, improve reliability, reduce costs, and decrease equipment downtime.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will successfully read and understand equipment service manuals, schematics, and specifications.

• Effectively communicate with Operators, facilities management teams, service contractors and manufacturers.

• Provide technical leadership and support to key internal stakeholders, including training when necessary.

• Effectively coach and encourage Operators on proper kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.

• Provide support in leveraging manufacturers to define root causes with trending issues.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma

• CFESA, CFC certifications

• Strong commercial kitchen equipment knowledge

• Effective communication skills

• Teamwork aptitude

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)

• Ability to travel - 50%
