Under minimal supervision from a more senior business analyst or project manager:

  • Understand and Identify business processes and improvements for Quality Management Systems (QMS) domain in a GMP environment. In order of importance, prior QMS related experience should include: CAPA, Change Control, Investigation Management, Document Management, and Training

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies gained by successfully adopting new QMS solutions (i.e. Veeva, Master Control, Trackwise, ComplianceWire, SumTotal)

  • With business stakeholders, implement business process improvements

  • Create use cases

  • Create high-quality user and functional requirements

  • Analyze requirements to determine priority and business value

  • Conduct meetings, document meeting notes and distribute meeting notes to invitees

  • Initiate interviews, site visits and workshop sessions with business Users one-to-one and in groups.

  • Create required regulatory and SDLC documentation

  • Collect information regarding and monitor progress of business analysis activities

  • Create as-is and to-be process maps and narratives

  • Create requirements traceability matrices

  • Provide estimates for workstream activities, including dependencies, to the Project Manager

  • Identify, manage and resolve risks and issues related to the workstream

  • Provide Project Manager with status updates, activity progress and schedule updates

  • Maintain excellent client relationships

  • Review and estimate change requests

  • Create and maintain SDLC documentation

  • Contribute to all areas of system implementation including but not limited to vendor interaction, system compatibility, change control, qualification, deployment, and training

  • Work with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, CAPA, CLIA, GxP,HL7 as well as internal policies and processes

  • Create and deliver training materials to end users

  • Collect and monitor progress on project activities from resources

  • Determine and document overall workstream approach

  • Plan and estimate activities within the workstream

  • Provide leadership for all resources within a specific workstream including client, vendor, consultants and associates

  • Perform stakeholder identification and analysis

  • Determine if defects are valid and disposition them

As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response. The Integrity Management organization's vision is to: * Improve pipeline safety and system reliability with a goal of zero safety incidents. * Promote a safety culture throughout all levels of the organization with an emphasis on improving learning from the past and anticipating the future. * Apply integrity management principles on a system-wide basis while engaging our stakeholders, from local communities we operate in to our regulators, so they can understand and participate in reducing our risk. * Support the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the transmission pipeline system through the proactive use of asset knowledge, threat identification, knowledge of threat interaction, data integration and analytical tools to increase operational efficiency, improve system integrity and minimize safety risk to employees and the communities we operate in. The Gas Transmission Integrity Management organization is responsible for evaluating the risk and threats to the integrity of the gas transmission system then developing and implementing a strategic integrity management plan for the entirety of the gas transmission pipeline assets. Position Summary This Business Analyst position will work with a team of In-Line Inspection (ILI) Engineers to provide quality control, track project metrics and compliance dates, and trend program data to enhance the ILI process for PG&E's approximately 7000 mile gas transmission system. This position will report to the Manager of ILI and Direct Assessment within the gas transmission integrity management program, specifically ILI. The Business Analyst is a key position within the transmission integrity management program (TIMP) team to help ensure PG&E maintains safe and reliable pipelines which comply with federal regulations by enabling the assessment of pipeline integrity. Responsibilities * The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to provide data analysis, data QA/QC, and program support to the Transmission Integrity Management Program as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Support Gas Transmission and Storage (GT&S) Rate Case Programs * Contract management and monthly program financials * Run and provide routine financial reports * Provide monthly forecasts for various ILI initiatives * Support financial and program planning initiatives, such as 3 year project planning, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Gas Stewardship * Provide support to project scoping * Create dig packages and support project documentation * Maintain and QC required ILI documentation and organize documentation library * Reviews and uploads change management forms (FCC2) * Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations * Presents findings and recommendations to leaders * Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes electing from various complex variables * Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data * Generates reports on training and documentation deadlines to maintain compliance * Work collaboratively with other work groups within TIMP, Business Finance and Transmission Portfolio Management and Engineering and vendors to troubleshoot issues, produce technical communication * Continually identify opportunities for improvement in the way work is done, share expertise and lessons learned * Demonstrate by personal action a 100% commitment to employee and public safety.
