Job Description
Supporting the Mission:
The Quality Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Rough Country Plastics Division Mission. This Manager will be responsible for analyzing the processes, systems, and data to eliminate inefficiencies and improve effectiveness. A key area of impact for this position is to measure performance and drive improvements in the deployment of the QMS/EMS standards.
Primary Roles:
Foster and support a safety culture
Manage and empower team members to meet organizational objectives and targets
Provide leadership to achieve manufacturing objectives in cost, delivery, manufacturing, and productivity
Provide mentoring / Training to implement / Maintain a systems culture
Provide leadership in overcoming challenges
Primary Responsibilities:
Taking accountability for the effectiveness of the quality management system by developing and conducting regular process audits to ensure compliance to QMS.
Ensuring the quality policy objectives are established for the QMS and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.
Ensuring the environmental policy and environmental objectives are established for the environmental management system and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.
Ensuring the integration of the QMS/EMS requirements into the organization's business processes.
Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the QMS/EMS requirements.
Management representative for the QMS and the environmental components of such.
Capable of taking measurements with a variety of devices and reporting results.
Capable of creating and completing PPAP's per AIAG.
Experience with EHS and maintaining safe working environments per WISHA requirements.
Assist customer relations as it relates to formal resolution of complaints, variances from standard specifications/practices, and/or courtesy evaluations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and implement permanent corrective actions.
Develop the organization to maintain certification to:
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 14001:2015
Qualification and Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
Advanced understanding of:
Standards (IATF, ISO, and VDA 63. Process Audit)
AIAG core tools
Ability to communicate to varied audiences, verbal and written
Ability to utilize office software tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, etc.
