Nurse with application knowledge in philosophy and methods of PI.
Competent leadership/management skills, competent computer skills, has knowledge and experience in patient care practices, knowledge and working implementation experience regarding regulatory agency standards, exceptional people skills, conflict management and facilitation skills.
The manager will serve as a resource to the quality department data abstractors, generate reports/data for core measures and Delta data when needed as well as coordinate physician scorecard data retrieval.
This position will also assist with coordination of data for Leapfrog, Q-hip, Tennessee Patient Safety data submission, and Get With the Guidelines (GWTG data submission for stroke) as needed.
The manager will provide direct supervision of the stroke coordinator role serving as support in coordinating Joint Commission stroke data abstraction, Stroke Committee agendas/data, coordination of the Stroke Symposium and other stroke education programs as needed.
The manager will coordinate, facilitate and serve as a resource for any Joint Commission accreditation or certification endeavors, including patient tracers, education, etc.
Registered Nurse with Quality Improvement experience preferred.
Valid RN License required.
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider.
Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS.
Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
