About this Opportunity:

This position will oversee the quality assurance processes for our machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in machining, metal fabrication, and assembly processes. The Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards for quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system for machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations.

  • Establish quality standards and procedures in alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Lead the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes, equipment, and personnel to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Manage the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and tools used in machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to identify root causes of quality problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide training and support to employees on quality principles, methods, and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.

  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, trends, and data to drive decision-making and strategic initiatives for quality improvement.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and external auditors to promote transparency, trust, and collaboration in quality management.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, quality management, or related field required; master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management roles within the manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in machining, metal fabrication, and assembly processes.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Experience with quality standards and certifications relevant to machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, AS9100, and 21CFR820).

  • Proficiency in quality management software systems and tools for document control, corrective action management, and data analysis.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
