Overview

Promote, develop and oversee compliance of the company quality system. Effectively assure compliance to customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

KEY TASKS

  • Work within staff team to maintain and improve all functional aspects of manufacturing operations.

  • Primary customer contact for analysis and resolution of quality non-conformance and warranty issues. Provide feedback to facility in order to facilitate corrective action/improvement.

  • Devise, analyze, and report effective metrics for plant quality performance, e.g. non-conformance, scrap, FPY.

  • Work within project teams to evaluate and mitigate process risks; develop and implement process control plans, validate production processes via qualification testing pre- and post-launch. Monitor and report ongoing process control and audit measurements.

  • React to daily production quality issues. Promote team based issue resolution.

  • Administer corrective/preventive action systems. Lead/participate in targeted efforts.

  • Supplier Quality evaluate, qualify, measure and manage suppliers jointly with Purchasing. Initiate corrective action requests and follow up for resolution and improvement.

  • Algona Plant Management Representative ISO 9001 QMS. Develop/improve/sustain systems standards and policies. Lead internal audits.

Supervision, project and functional assignment, development, and evaluation of Quality Engineers and Technicians. Supervision of hourly Inspection Associates.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Accomplished Quality, Product or Manufacturing Engineering professional with 10+ years' experience.

  • Must be a degreed engineer; BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering desired.

  • Demonstrated management or project leadership experience in mechanical product development or manufacturing (includes quality) engineering.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt qualifications, with practical application.

  • Familiarity and practice with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Experience with measurement and gaging systems development.

Competencies - analytical skills, including statistical methods; structured problem solving approach; adept with data reporting and analysis software; effective risk management

VIEW JOBS 3/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-11T00:00 What You Will Do: As a hospice case manager for Amedisys, you will have a special opportunity to provide, coordinate and direct the provision of hospice nursing and palliative care to terminally ill patients in their home. You will closely collaborate with the attending physician, patients and their families, and other members of the patient care team to provide and maintain continuity of patient care to achieve excellent pain and symptom management and high quality end-of-life care for the patient. * Assess and reassess all physical, environmental and emotional factors to determine hospice needs for patients in the home setting * Works in cooperation with the family/caregiver and IDT to meet the emotional needs of the patient/family/caregiver. * Utilize a combination of agency resources and nationally recognized standards of practice to achieve excellent pain and symptom management and high quality end-of-life care. * Coordinate the total Plan of Care and maintains continuity of patient care by liaising with appropriate staff and the physician. * Actively participates in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) conferences. * Provide supervision and evaluation of aides and nurses. * Attend funerals/calling hours when appropriate as assigned by the bereavement coordinator. Required: * Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse specific to that state the employee is assigned to work by the Company. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a registered nurse * Current CPR certification * Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation and agency required liability insurance to complete home visits Preferred: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree * Previous home health or hospice experience * Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) Amedisys is an equal opportunity employer.
