Quality Manager will plan, coordinate, regional quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

  • Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

  • Completes Quality Audits along with quality team and oversees the team, aids in scheduling to assure the quality of assigned product or components are receiving quality control.

  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.

  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes for continuous improvement.

  • Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.

  • Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.

  • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities to include Root Cause Analysis.

  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.

  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team. (Quality Metrics Tracking & Quality Scorecards)

  • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of Telecom Carriers, Operations Equipment Manufactures and industry quality codes and standards.

  • Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.

  • Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.

  • Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.

  • Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably a technical degree.

  • Minimum 5 Years Wireless Telecommunications Experience preferred.

  • Technical Understanding/Ability.

  • Desire to Succeed and Learn New Skills.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.

  • Acute attention to detail.

  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers.

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities necessary to plan and prioritize own work, complete work on time and maintain required records and logs.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Previous supervisory experience.

TITLE: Ambulatory Quality Manager  JOB OVERVIEW: This position is part of the Ambulatory Quality and Safety Team which includes others in the roles of Ambulatory Quality Manger, Data Analyst, and Performance Improvement Coordinator. Although Ambulatory Quality Managers cross train to support each other’s work, each Ambulatory Quality Manager has a focus (i.e. Patient Safety, Care Pathways, or Clinical Quality Measures). This position works closely with Clinic Network leaders and other Valley Medical Center departments in pursuit of high reliability as we facilitate clinical and operational excellence, timely access, and unparalleled experience.   AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Clinic Network   HOURS OF WORK: Typically days; some flexibility may be required to meet department needs.   RESPONSIBLE TO: Director, Ambulatory Quality & Safety PREREQUISITES: * RN preferred. License must be current to practice in the State of Washington. * Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health related field required. Master’s degree highly preferred. * Minimum three years’ experience in an outpatient clinic setting to include subject matter expertise and understanding of ambulatory clinical and operational processes, workflows and business needs. * Demonstrated leadership skills with an emphasis on project and team management. Stays abreast of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the quality field. * Able to implement pilots, initiatives, best practices through utilization of Clinic Network implementation strategies and tools.   Patient Safety * Acts as the point person for Clinic Network Patient Safety issues to triage urgency and to alert and activate resources as needed. * Assesses, designs, plans, implements and evaluates activities that help improve the safety of the patients served by the clinic network. * Works collaboratively with multiple disciplines to improve patient safety outcomes in the identified areas of improvement. * Manages the safety reporting system and communicate findings and trends to Clinic Administration as directed. * Provides consultation and education at the clinic level to improve patient safety. * Participates in the development, implementation, review and revision of Network policies and procedures as they relate to quality and safety improvement initiatives. * Able to facilitate the clinic network preparation for ongoing compliance for National Patient Safety Goals. * Provides content expertise to Clinic Managers Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Issues.   Care Pathways * Uses project management skills while working collaboratively with multiple disciplines to move a clinical practice guideline from origination to implementation. * Serves as a co-chair on the Care Pathway committee as directed. Stays abreast of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the quality field. * Able to implement pilots, initiatives, best practices through utilization of Clinic Network implementation strategies and tools. * Able to conduct a comprehensive assessment utilizing evidence-based guidelines to identify gaps in current care pathways and to make recommendations for process improvement. * Possesses proven ability to critically analyze information from reporting system to determine effectiveness of an existing care pathway.   General Duties (or oversight of activities) to include but not limited to * Participates in appropriate meetings to gain in-depth understanding of issues relevant to quality and safety. * Communicates those items that are relevant for discussion with the Clinic Network Leadership team.
