Your new responsibilities

Position Overview The focus of Fluence Bioengineering Inc. is in the design, manufacture and distribution of Horticultural LED lighting technologies and solutions. With its extremely rapid growth and leading market position is the US and Canada, Fluence has now been acquired by one of the world's biggest and most respected lighting companies, OSRAM. Fluence is undergoing a process of exciting growth and globalization, and we welcome talented people to join our journey. Fluence is searching for a Quality Manager to take the company from its start-up roots in horticultural science and lighting technologies, and build on these foundations to take Fluence towards Operations Excellence. The Quality Manager will be a person of immense pride in quality and workmanship, is fuelled by saving cost through high quality, and enjoys a dynamic and focal leadership position. The candidate that Fluence seeks will ideally have a diversified experience from mature industries and start up environments, but we would like to speak with any Quality Management professionals that are interested to take on the challenge. Expected Deliverables Exact KPIs to be defined later but will include expectations for PPM targets as well as company profitability. Major Responsibilities

  • Provide overall governance for quality management systems, policies and procedures, linking the organization together and providing the backbone for continual improvement.

  • Lead the development of a dynamic quality management team that is fully integrated in all aspects of the manufacturing value chain (design, industrialization, customer delivery and satisfaction). Set targets, nurture, coach and develop skills and performance.

  • Collect, organize and manage data from the manufacturing scope, developing systems and procedures that are agile and effective in protecting the company's top priority - customer satisfaction.

  • Drive product and operating compliance.

  • Lead the company through ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications, and cultural acceptance of working according to the quality manual.

  • Work closely with finance teams to secure investment in quality management capabilities, and understand and continually reduce the costs of non-quality.

What we look for

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above, in related technical field (or convince us otherwise).

  • Proficient written and spoken English.

  • Minimum 5-years of experience working in a Quality Management role, in a manufacturing environment, including the development/implementation of a Quality Management System, and completion of ISO9001 & ISO14001 certifications.

  • Able to interact at all levels within the organization, from advising and reporting to top management, down to coaching shop floor teams.

  • Mature industry experience (automotive, white goods, semiconductor, lighting) considered an advantage.

  • Must be 'hands on' and enjoy being among the action.

Position Overview The Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) is to act as an expert and support the Project Manager (PM) by planning, supervising, ensuring and reporting of appropriate activities regarding failure prevention and effective actions. The QMiP acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement in all project phases by communicating lessons learned from other projects and through process improvement. Of importance is the authority to intervene at any stage in the project, in the case of non-conformance in delivery and project results or any jeopardization of the project results. The scope of the job incorporates all project related activities to meet the targeted results regarding quality with respect to requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in civil, traffic, software or electrical engineering with related work experience. Master of Science degree preferred * 8+ years' experience in quality management of complex systems or projects. * Experience in road or rail infrastructure and governmental field projects * Experience in intelligent traffic system (ITS) field projects preferred * Understanding of infrastructure systems and control systems beneficial * Experience in leading quality management team, i.e. quality and test engineers, inspectors, etc. directly and indirectly * Experience in the oversight of supplier and subcontractor quality management * Experience in the configuration of tools for creation of metrics and reports * Quality and Project Management certification or equivalent beneficial * Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software and web-based program management systems * Strategic thinking and ability to work independently. * Ability to take ownership in the process, while working with others to assure the project's success. * Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross functionally with other groups within the Siemens organizations and project partners to achieve the projects goals successfully. * Balance conflict by working with all parties to find successful solutions to issues that may arise throughout the process and able to facilitate alternatives to find the best resolution to the issue at hand. * Audits and assessments: Plan, conduct and support project audits, assessments, reviews and participate in status meetings. Ensure implementation of (improvement) measures (internal and external). * Support of EHS: Planning and preparation of quality management reports as groundwork for the safety case, as required by the project.
