Position Title: Quality Manager

Reports to: Plant Manager

Location: Springfield, MO

Job Summary:

Responsible for the effective performance of the quality function in the manufacturing center to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with customers which are based on integrity and trust, including substantial personal visits.

  • Establishes, maintains, and updates customer quality requirements and specifications through active participations in projects, manufacturing control plan development, and working with JPS and customer teams to address changes or improvements.

  • Leads overall ISO 9001, cGMP, FDA and other applicable responsibilities to ensure procedures and auditing activities are followed per the defined activity.

  • Understands requirements for ISO 13485.

  • Ensures that all quality procedures are maintained and that all personnel are fully trained on specifications, procedures and inspection equipment.

  • Ensures complete and accurate inspection and certifications data are sent to the customer.

  • Communicates with customers about uncertain specifications or questionable products, obtains, deviations, etc., and advises site staff.

  • Review latest part print revisions from Engineering Project Manager and inputs if revisions require any deviation from normal inspection, documentation or measurement procedures.

  • Assures all non-conforming materials are isolated and in conjunction with Material Review Board.

  • Enforces safety rules and regulations fostering a safe and healthful working environment.

  • Performs routine audits for compliance to procedures, submits reports and action plans on audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSME, PE or CHE or equivalent experience or Bachelor Degree in a related field with appropriate experience.

  • ISO experience to include implementation and auditing.

  • Five years in a quality management position with a demonstrated successful performance level.

  • ASQC-certified a plus.

  • Three years of injection molding experience.

  • Thorough understanding of QC tools such as SPC, DOE, sampling plans, audits, etc.

  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.

  • Understanding of metrology equipment and the various uses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CBF or SBM a plus (This plant produces plastic bottles)

Job Summary QIMs are members of the management team. They are responsible for procedures related to the Individual Support Plan process for all participants served by the agency. They review the quality of Long Term and Community Integration Services (LTCIS) participant services and documentation for compliance with internal and external standards and regulations. Primary Duties The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Coordinate and participate in person-centered planning processes pertaining to Individual Support Plan (ISP) outcomes and support activities; coordinate and monitor the quality and distribution of ISPs and quarterly progress reports. * Coordinate and facilitate referrals, admissions, transfers, and discharges: schedule and conduct tours; schedule and facilitate assessments and participants' transitions; obtain and monitor intake and discharge documents. * Maintain and monitor the quality of participant records, in compliance with all applicable regulations; develop and conduct staff trainings on documentation standards. * Review, consult with staff, and provide feedback on participant progress, strategies, methodologies, and data collection to assure quality of services; monitor development and implementation of plans and protocols by behavior analysts, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech/language pathologists. * Coordinate with program and administrative staff to assure current and accurate documentation of participant funding including Support Intensity Scale (SIS) scores, entry of Waiver ISPs into Virginia Waiver Management System (WaMS), approval of Waiver services in WaMS, and CSB authorization forms; these responsibilities help to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. Additional Responsibilities * Serve as member of the Records Review Committee. * Supervise and facilitate preparation of participant records for external reviewers; serve as liaison with external reviewers during on-site reviews. * Maintain and keep current all required trainings and certifications (see below). * Participate in meetings as assigned; represent the agency during outreach and other events. * Perform site-specific duties as assigned; i.e. late bus duty, floor duty, ROD completion, IEE reviews. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s) * Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field; * Three years of work experience in the field of developmental disabilities; * Valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record (MVR) required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to relate well to people with disabilities and to people with varied backgrounds * Ability to support participants in personal care and activities of daily living Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
