QUALITY MANAGER

SUMMARY
Quality Manager must demonstrate effective leadership behaviors that motivate others to meet the challenging demands of a continuous improvement environment.

Observe and listen to employees, direct reports and staff members sharing information in a manner that is beneficial for all.

Effective personal style with a tone of integrity, competence, inspiration and optimism

Lead staff of 6-8 with multiple skill levels, work demands and decision-making capabilities.

FUNCTIONS:

Develops Quality Department Functions, goals, Quality Management Systems (IATF 9001- 2016) Quality objectives and continuous improvement activities.

Maintain and improve customer satisfaction through customer focus, corrective/preventive actions, advanced product quality planning (APQP) and continuous improvement.

Utilize statistical tools for problem solving and continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.

Review product specifications to present/recommended plant capabilities and make specification revisions as necessary.

Establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

Develop a cost-effective quality management system that minimizes Quality risks to the customer, maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

Direct Quality, Engineering and Production Personnel to develop inspection activities for product throughout production cycle.

Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.

Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products

Lead Plant efforts in Supplier Quality Assurance and supplier sourcing.

Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers. Able to mentor and lead teams to higher Quality standards.

Respond to customer complaints by directing containment and root cause investigations, corrective action and follow up and resolution with the customer.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree and five years experience as Quality Manager

American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification and/or Certified Quality Manager (CQM)

Experience in all areas of IATF 9001-2016 standards.

Sound background in problem solving preferably 8D discipline with practical application

Sound background in statistical process control, theory and application required, GD&T.

Metalworking and Fabrication background experience is desired

Job Requirements and Essential Functions: * Strong preference for internal promote form Hourly Champion position. * Must be at least 18 years old. * Must pass background check criteria and drug test. * Must have reliable transportation. * Able to do basic business math. * Able to stock shelves and coolers. * Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction. * Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin. * Able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the restaurant. * Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 90% of shift time.
