Job Description:

Firm-wide Controls Management Organization (CMO), was designed to ensure a strong and consistent control environment across the organization from front office to back office, regardless of business area or location. With Control Officers appointed for each business area and region we have a comprehensive coverage/accountability model that promotes firmwide dialogue and consistency in approach and solutions. CMO strives to ensure appropriate and meaningful controls and operational risk measures across the firm and enterprise-wide governance and oversight of the end-to-end control environment.

The role will manage the quality assurance processes for Merchant Services, which include:

  • Implementation of operational policies, processes and services

  • Monitors the control environment for customer interactions for a specific function

  • Manages and directs team activities and monitors progress

  • Manages resources and operating expenses

  • Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of services and system

  • Interacts with operations managers

  • May present business updates to managers

  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Effective listening, multi-tasking

  • Analytical review and conclusions

  • Decision making, sound judgment

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to establish rapport and build effective relationships with a variety of

management levels

  • Risk and Controls Management

  • Merchant Services - electronic payment processing knowledge a plus

  • Previous Quality experience a plus

  • 2+ years recent management or leadership experience required

VIEW JOBS 2/6/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-06T00:00 SUMMARY Coordinate development and maintenance of Food Safety and Food Quality programs for the manufacturing facility as required by the site manufacturing Plant President, Flowers Foods Corporate QA, governing regulatory agencies, independent 3rd party audit firms, and customers. Audit and monitor plant processes to verify that the plant is in compliance with all food safety and mandatory quality systems including but not limited to a routine review of the plant product formulations, HACCP program, GMP Programs, Allergen programs, and Quality Systems. Work with plant management to ensure that procedures exist to investigate the cause of significant non-conformity against standards, specifications and procedures, which are critical to product safety, legality and quality. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assist Plant President to ensure that the facility and all contractors/ vendors are in compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations pertaining to Food Safety and Quality. * Supervises direct reports * Review product formulations to assure that they are in line with the current nutrition labeling information. * Initiate annual plant Mock Trace ability/Recalls exercise * Review, update, and maintain plant Quality and Food Safety Programs, HACCP Program, Recall Program, GMP Policies, Allergen Program, current vendor Ingredient Specifications including Kosher certification letters (if applicable) * Prepare and maintain internal and external (i.e., customer specific) Finished Product Specifications * Prepare, maintain, and submit documentation as required for Nutrition Labeling Program * Lead in corrective action process related to quality and food safety programs, consumer concerns and facility audits. * Review documentation and advise plant management on all compliance issues associated with food safety compliance issues such as proper record keeping for Bio-terrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 * Assist with develop of training materials and training of authorized employees concerning areas that affect product safety, legality and quality. * Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.) * Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures DESIRED EXPERIENCE A minimum 1 to 3 years experience in the baking industry. DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS HACCP, HARPC, FSPCA, PCQI DESIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology and/or Chemistry.
