Position:Quality Manager II
Arrow Electronics is seeking a process improvement focused Quality Manager II to join our team in Reno, NV.
This is a salaried position, pay is BOE
Execute and lead Quality and Continuous process improvement activities within the Reno Primary Distribution Center. Ensures existing processes are compliant with both company quality assurance standards and applicable ISO guidelines and government regulations
Performs analysis and identifies trends using quality data and auditing results to develops corrective and preventive actions designed to eliminate quality issues and improve facility efficiencies.
Manage Quality department personnel to drive initiatives and results.
When needed (based on level of risk/assignment importance) perform audits, review corrective actions and process improvements as it relates to process improvement and industry certifications
Responsible for maintaining and implementation of required ISO/AS certifications specific to the Reno location, including both Distribution and Programming activities.
Lead, plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives. Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Directs the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and quality
Travel required: less than 25%
Manages professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex technical or business support or production operations team(s)
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan
Provides technical guidance to employees and colleagues
Accountable for the performance and quality results of the Reno Primary Distribution Center
Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes
Typically resolves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist
Often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff
Knowledge of ISO/AS standards
4 years experience in Quality, Process Improvement, or Industrial Engineering
Experience driving change
Change management experience
Understanding of the corrective actions process
Green Belt of Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma preferred
