Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and maintaining effective Quality and Safety policies and procedures that meet contract requirements and the criteria for ISO compliance in all areas as well as company and government safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and maintaining effective Quality and Safety policies and procedures that meet contract requirements and the criteria for ISO compliance in all areas as well as company and government safety requirements.
Duties include:
Representing the company on all quality related matters in support of the Logistics Support Center
Ensuring compliance with, quality control requirements IAW Army, DoD, and Federal policies and regulations
Preparing, maintaining, enforcing, and updating QC plans to drive performance using ISO 9001:2015 standards across the program and compliance with ISO 14001 standards in all areas
Responsible for all aspects of ISO compliance and the establishment of internal processes/controls
Developing and implementing quality standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Attending quality management meetings with Government Staff and Contracting Office, preparing reports and documentation as needed
Resolve quality performance issues and problems identified during the period of performance of the contract
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Candidate must demonstrate capability to implement and manage a quality management system in addition to the following:
Maintain a quality management system in accordance with applicable ISO Standards
Possess broad knowledge of Army logistical functions and the ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote improvements
Knowledge of Safety standards and general experience in dealing with environmental issues
Ability to establish program objectives performance goals and assess progress
Ability to establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control and on-going quality process improvements
Ability to conduct root cause/corrective action analysis
Ability to work with computers and management information systems
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
Must have as a minimum a high school diploma
ISO 9000 Lead Auditor qualification preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing quality control in an industrial/technical environment
Three (3) years of experience in administrative, professional, analytical or other work related to International Organization for Standard (ISO) programs or operations is also required. These can be concurrent time periods.
Candidate must have a valid CDL for light vehicles
