Quality Manager (Forest Park)
This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight to distribution locations, for quality and food safety. This role exists to ensure the distribution centers delivers the required standards of quality and food safety according to Ferrara policies, procedures, and practices. This role is also responsible for implementing and monitoring quality activities related to commercial logistics, and points of sales quality.
Accountable for holistic warehouse quality and food safety program direction and results for all assigned locations
Direct the quality activities of the assigned distribution sites, with direct responsibility for management of all Quality Personnel
Manage contamination prevention programs for all assigned locations
Investigate, act, and resolve customer quality issues at all assigned locations
Assist in obtaining and the maintenance of BRC Certification for all assigned locations
Develop and Manage Quality KPI Objectives for all assigned locations
Provide Quality and Food Safety training for all assigned locations
Implement new policies/procedures
Monitor compliance to quality policy and programs and perform Annual Quality Reviews
Implement improved Housekeeping/ Inspection Methods
Implement product traceability improvements
Candidate minimum qualifications:
HACCP certification required. FSMA PCQI and GFSI (BRC or SQF) certification preferred
Understands and can apply basic food safety principles.
Strong auditing and assessment skills are required.
Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strengths and ability to work effectively with a team are required.
Computer software skills to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of food laws, and U.S regulations.
