Quality Manager

Quality Manager - Direct Hire Location: South Bend Indiana area(will consider relocation) Pay: $60-90k (based on experience) Schedule:

Onsite Daily Summary: Lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) team, ensuring alignment with company goals, and maintaining high-quality standards across all operations. What you get to do:

Supervise and mentor a QC team of 5-6 technicians across two shifts. Oversee daily lab operations, including testing, inspection, and release of materials. Promote continuous improvement and best practices in quality assurance.

Develop and maintain robust quality control systems from raw materials to finished goods. Ensure quality checks are integrated into all production stages to prevent defects. Standardize quality processes and drive continuous improvement.

Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other tools to drive process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align improvement efforts with company goals.

Partner with R&D, Production, and Technical Service teams to integrate quality into product development and manufacturing. Communicate quality issues and updates to stakeholders, including management and customers. Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers on quality matters.

Ensure all QC activities comply with safety protocols, especially with hazardous materials. Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. What you need to succeed:

Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) preferred. 5-10 years in quality management within the coatings or chemicals industry, with proven leadership experience. Expertise in quality control, statistical analysis, QMS, and problem-solving.
