Strategic Talent Partners has been retained by our client, a family-owned converter of paper and paperboard, to hire a Quality Manager. Our client is renowned for their commitment to extreme customer satisfaction and produces a wide range of laminate and coatings that help make packaging and print materials astound, dazzle, and jump off the shelf. Their products are used by the brands you know and love for products you see and use daily: cosmetics, personal care, beverages, food, technology, entertainment, etc.
We’re hiring for a Quality Manager to lead quality for their facility in Osgood, IN. This position will be responsible for all production quality required to deliver accurate, within spec, awesome products to our customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Participate in safety initiatives and commit to a safe working environment, free of accident and harm to employees and the community
- Optimize quality by ensuring all incoming materials support customer demands and quality standards as defined by customer requirements
- Support of new product development and capability enhancements
- Develop quality policies to support commercial initiatives and drive business margins and revenues
- Analyze product data to meet and elevate our quality standards and drive high quality products for our customers
- Work cooperatively with business operations to meet customer service and supply chain goals
- Train and develop other quality technicians to ensure quality consistency across all production shifts
- Develop an extensive knowledge of laminates, including customers, raw materials, and marketplace applications
- Support and drive the training program within Case Makes to bolster cooperation and cross-training across the operation
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or (business, supply chain management, industrial/mechanical engineering, statistics/mathematics, etc.) -OR- if you have commensurate work experience in related discipline(s) and/or relevant certifications (ISO, ASQ, LSS, etc.).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations, quality, continuous improvement.
- 2+ years previous management or leadership experience
- Working knowledge of and experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Intermediate Excel skills (formula calculations, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, data validation, pivot tables)
- Mathematical skills in converting unit of measure, calculating proportions, probability, and using simple single variable functions
