This position is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Quality Team and key initiatives for the facility. The incumbent will facilitate the transfer of technologies throughout various areas of the organization, evaluate new products, review and analyze technical literature and stay current on related issues and technical data related to Quality related matters at the Greenfield manufacturing site.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
QUALITY LEADERSHIP
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, support and develop a diverse team of talent.
Develop and execute cross functional plans to deliver site quality objectives including but not limited to claim responsiveness, customer satisfaction goals, ISO compliance, etc.
Maintain strategy deployment documents weekly
Personally lead and complete lot trace, containment and claim investigation activities
Complete supplier audits
Enter claims to suppliers, request corrective actions and audit the effectiveness of corrective actions
Responsible for Internal and external audit follow up to gain and maintain ISO and FSC compliance.
Become a trained ISO and FSC lead auditor of LGM-NA, and lead 2 audits per year
Complete Document Change Requests.
Maintain site document control and training objectives
Lead site Management of Change and Temporary Operating Deviation processes for the site.
Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes, and procedures under ISO 9001:2015.
COLLABORATION
Lead calls with internal and external customers and suppliers
Provide on-call quality support; process watching production runs
Work with product design teams to ensure new products meet quality expectations.
Instill a quality culture that aggressively identifies and solves quality-related issues.
Lead cross-functional project teams & collaborate with all functions, levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.
Interact regularly with engineering, manufacturing and commercial functions to establish quality standards for raw material, work in process and finished products and ensure sufficient process capability to consistently meet those standards.
Travel to Customers, supplier, and to support internal audits (10%)
Complete other duties as assigned
BUSINESS ACUMEN
Deliver short-term and-long term results in order to develop and maintain the organization's credibility with the business and create opportunities for the function to add greater value to the business.
Use business trends and customer needs to develop and manage divisional strategy and create a team operating plan with actionable goals to create competitive advantage.
B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering and/or Material Sciences required
3-5 years experience in a leadership role within a Quality or Manufacturing Operations function
Demonstrated experience managing policies, procedures, process, programs, and practices under ISO 9001 (or a similar quality system) to ensure continuous improvement, conformance and effectiveness of Quality System. Statistical analysis and problem solving skills (Six Sigma)
Demonstrated experience with effective Quality Corrective and Preventive Action processes to ensure process improvement and auditing results
Ability to quickly acclimate to complex organization: build and develop functional relationships, gain knowledge of products, develop analytical and reporting skills, learn multiple computer-based quality, inventory, and internet/ intranet applications.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, support and develop a diverse team of talent.

Effective communication skills (written, verbal, active listening) and professional behavior.
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements of this position.
Familiarization with ELS (Continuous Improvement) principles and knowledge of lean sigma tools.
