This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
The Lead Quality (Hybrid) position provides critical Quality support for our Global Quality organization. The Lead Quality will provide enterprise wide leadership and support of the Harley-Davidson Quality Management System. Responsibilities include process ownership of key QMS processes, leadership of the Internal Audit program, and maintenance of the ISO9001 certification. The role will also be expected to assist on larger ad-hoc projects identified by company leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills as well as a passion for Continuous Improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Specific:
Act as business lead for enterprise wide QMS software applications
Interface w/ Digital Office IT organization
Prioritize requests for change
Ensure effective use across the organization
Prepare, report, and disseminate quality metrics and other information to the organization
Maintain ISO 9001 certification
Interface w/ external registrar
Facilitate external audits
Lead Internal Audit process
Identify and train new internal auditors
Conduct on-site and remote audits of H-D sites
Identify opportunities for QMS related Continuous Improvement and lead associated projects
Provide effective QMS related communication and training to the organization
Champion resolution of quality problems spanning product development and manufacturing
Lead monthly cross-site Quality Lead meetings
General:
Work with cross-functional groups up, down, and across the organization to obtain results.
Support and participate in activities to ensure effectiveness of Harley-Davidson's Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Participate in projects that drive increased product quality and customer satisfaction
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required
Education Specifications
A bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline is required. Advanced training or certification in auditing and problem solving is desired (e.g. CQE, CQA, CQM).
Experience Requirements
Required:
Requires at least 8 years of related experience
Proven expertise within the ASQ CQE body of knowledge
Strong communication skills in written and oral presentations and reports.
Success in solving challenging problems with innovative solutions in a team environment.
Ability to communicate technical subjects in a clear, concise manner to multiple levels of the organization.
General knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, welding) a plus.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
