Provide basic laboratory test analyses, inventory & prepare lab supplies, maintain (verify, calibrate, maintain) laboratory equipment. Perform test method evaluations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quality control analytical testing on raw material, in-process, finished product sample types and waste water samples per SOP's and sample testing plans. Complete documentation associated with QC testing.

• Inventory and maintain laboratory supplies for all materials necessary to perform QC tests.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Accept responsibility for their own safety and health. Performs assigned duties in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment. Follows operating procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally protective workplace. Observes and reports all incidents and unsafe conditions. Takes an active interest in improving safety and environmental protection.

• Train and evaluate lab and plant personnel on test methods and equipment verification methods.

• Thoroughly understand all plant processes.

• Lead and conduct test method verifications.

• Perform SAP transactions (e.g. usage decisions, purchase requisitions, etc).

• Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical instrumentation.

• Perform verification, calibration and preventive maintenance in accordance with schedules identified in ISO documentation.

• Assist and participate in the EHSQ Management System (e.g., nonconformance, TVP, audits, inventory, document control, corrective/preventive actions, TAN cards).

• Perform test and investigation requirements as defined by the Manager-Quality Services. Hazardous Waste Responsibility

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT

• Physical mobility and agility required.

• Requires working in a rotating shift environment including weekends and holidays.

• Requires adequate physical strength to perform the essential job tasks (for example, ability to lift 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance).

• Exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example, twelve hour shifts).

• Sensory faculties needed to safely perform the job duties that allow a person to react to potential or immediate hazardous conditions and to take appropriate action. • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection as well as common protective or safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection, hearing protection, hard hats, etc

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have open availability and open to working nights and weekends

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a Science related discipline

• 3 or more years of experience in an analytical lab environment
