Ashland, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inventory Technician to join our business at our Fiskeville, Rhode Island manufacturing plant. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the quality operations function. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Visually inspect pieces of sheeted products for various types of visual defects.

  • Products meeting standard are then packaged and made ready for shipment.

  • Using due diligence in everyday tasks.

  • Following proper guidelines to maintain a safe manufacturing environment and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) as required by the facility.

  • Capable and comfortable in completing repetitive tasks while maintaining high level of attention to detail throughout the duration of the task.

  • Aiding Production Supervisor with plant operations. Assist and operate various production equipment including setup and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain and improve housekeeping for warehouse/ production area(s), such as clean area.

  • Utilize strong organizational and computer skills with a cross discipline of knowledge, communication, and multitasking.

  • Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses and gloves as required for specific plant areas.

  • Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing goals and focusing on safety and performance.

  • Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent, and utilizing positive communications and influence with others at all levels of the organization.

  • Other responsibilities as needed.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Strong organizational and basic computer skills, cross discipline knowledge, excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.

  • Ability to wear required protective clothing such as, safety glasses, safety shoes and gloves.

  • Possess acute attention to details.

  • Always demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior.

  • Help the Company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions, and creating the new and different.

  • A valid driver's license. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

The following skills sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • 1+years of experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in manufacturing or quality inspection.
