Serving three primary markets passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

The Quality intern will be given a project to work on during their internship. At the end of the internship, the individual will make a presentation to the Leadership Team with their findings, recommendations and results. They will also report out on their learning and "take-aways" of their time spent with Dana. In many cases the Logistics' intern will also be given some normal day to day responsibilities in their department. This will allow them to experience the work of a business analyst and assess their interest in Dana.

The Quality intern will interact with all levels of staff within the corporation and is expected to build effective relationships with Leaders, internal and external customers, other product groups & functions.


  • Complete a designated project including report out to leadership.

  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

  • Become part of the team while asking questions and learning Quality at Dana

  • Willing to do multiple assignments & rotate through other quality departments.

  • Perform process development/documentation of safe manufacturing work instructions.

  • Involve and expose to ISO or QS-9000 process

  • Expose to gage and layout procedures to include CMM

Qualifications Desired:

  • Active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Specific majors: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality.

  • GPA must be 3.0 or better.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to learn and build computer proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Experience or exposure to Manufacturing or Assembly a plus.

  • Proven work experience, strong analytical ability, & excellent mechanical aptitude.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner and the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality & business ethics.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Paramount Quality Assurance Associate will coordinate and perform onsite compliance and UM/CM quality assurance reviews, informal reviews, desk reviews, data analysis, and report processes to agencies; CMS, ODM, NCQA, etc. Communicate with agencies regarding deadlines, services, audit results, reviews, or clarification and follow-up of submissions under review. Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents. Perform UM/CM audits for delegated entities. Prepare or direct the preparation of additional information or responses as requested by agencies. This position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer. No positions report to this position. 1. Assist with creating Utilization Care Management responsibilities as related to new product development and implementation of new and/or upgraded software/applications as relates to UM/CM functions. 2. Conduct internal and external monitoring and auditing of delegation oversight related to quality and compliance standards for contracted entities; provide feedback and response to oversight findings. 3. Develop abstract, and maintain Utilization Care Management workflow needs within the authorization and case management systems. Departmental liaison for all Utilization Care Management systems. 4. Produce results that are presented accurately, timely, and professional. Assist with systems outcomes and develop/implement action plans to improve results. 5. Coordinate, facilitate, design and workflows and system work arounds to internal departments, for all ODM, CMS, and NCQA standards other Utilization Care Management regulatory requirements. Assist in any follow up related to Utilization Care Management departmental data outcomes. 6. Assist and monitor regulatory requirements for audits and participates in continuous performance improvement measures to ensure departmental compliance. 7. Compile and maintain agency documentation databases or systems. 8. Obtain and distribute updated information regarding audits. 9. Perform compliance and quality assurance reviews for new hires. 10. Provide the CMO, Directors of UCM, Managers, and Team Leaders with timely detailed monthly reports that outline departmental and individual statistical results and provide recommendations based on findings. 11. Other duties as assigned.
