Warren Oil Company is currently looking for a reliable, detail oriented Quality Inspector for our West Memphis Grease Plant Facility. This is a day shift position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections for all packaging lines in a timely manner

  • Verifty components being used match parts lists via work orders

  • Ensure package aesthetics are in compliance with company standards

  • Identify and quarantine all defect product and notify supervisor when issues arise

  • Perform routine facility inspections

  • Verifty correct product, quantities, and quality during truck loading

  • Perform pre-checks on all built pallets

  • Shut down production when non-conformances are identified

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001

  • Requires attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information

  • Problem- solving

  • Clear written and verbal skills

  • Ability to work with others

  • Knowledge of filling, packaging, and labeling requirements for all products

  • Experience with manufacturing work orders, bill of materials, load tickets and following SOPs

  • Able to work and perform required duties in at least two of the following major functional areas: blow molding, purchased material inspection, shipping, warehousing, production line quality process

  • JDE experience preferred, but not required

In this job, you will perform a variety of tasks meeting quality and productivity metrics and ensure that warehouse product is accurately picked, pulled, staged, and shipped to customers. This position pays $13 per hour and is a 2nd shift position. All Technicians are required to obtain a Forklift Certification within 6 months of hire. A Warehouse Quality Technician is expected to perform the following duties: Quality Audits * Audit inventory to track movement of product within warehouse. * Verify accuracy of product pallets being loaded with order documents to ensure proper item, quantity, and destination. * Complete quality checklists timely and accurately. * Document and report errors. * Read and understand Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents to ensure proper Inbound and Outbound warehouse process. * Understand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spillage of products. * Provide instant feedback to the picker/pullers to help improve the overall quality standards of the department. * Report quality numbers to the Supervisor on a daily basis with quality improvement recommendations. * Perform audits throughout the warehouse at various stages of the process to identify and correct errors and identify and separate damaged product. General * Follow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE. * Keep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged products. * Actively participate in all safety and other training programs. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a focus on quality and accuracy and a desire to learn. * Experience with general quality processes preferred. * One year of warehouse experience. Excellent attendance history. Forklift certification is a plus, * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork within defined procedures. * Ability to stay on task and organized with the well-defined duties and tasks. Ability to recognize, read and match alpha-numeric location codes, box markings and product covers. * Demonstrate ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to obtain information and data that requires professionalism and tact. * Demonstrate technical aptitude. Able to quickly identify problems, pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance. * Ability to calculate simple math. * Some computer skills may be required. * Ability to multi task, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
