A Quality Inspector job in Houston, Texas is currently available through Belcan with one of our Manufacturing clients. You will be responsible for Quality Inspection using Liquid Penetrant & Magnetic Particle Inspection techniques. To be considered for this role, you will need a High School Diploma or GED and 3 + years' experience in Quality Inspection. This is a great direct opportunity with a growing company.

Quality Inspector Job duties:

  • At least 3 years' experience performing Quality Inspection on oil/gas field components.

  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.

  • Review inspection records received for compliance.

  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.

  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts.

  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering prints is preferred.

  • Non-destructive inspection experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 + years' experience in Quality Inspection.

  • CWI certification

  • 3 or more years related experience as QC Inspector or five years as a machinist, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 + years' experience in surface NDE liquid penetrant & Magnetic particle Inspection, Brinell Hardness testing inspection, experience using drawings with GDT dimensional inspection.

  • Experienced with Faro dimensional inspection.

  • Knowledge in reading MTR's for material acceptance based on material specifications.

  • Completed NDE formal training in accordance with ASNT TC-1A with a passing score for each method to be certified.

  • Strong understanding of API specifications as required by position/ Job responsibilities.

  • A basic understanding and commitment to the requirements of ISO and API specifications.

  • Ability to pass a visual acuity examination (Jager eye exam).

  • Maintain NDE certifications in accordance with the facility"s QMS and ASNT-TC-1A requirements.
