Entry Level Quality Inspector

Quality Inspectors perform various sorting, inspection, production, and data capture. Quality Inspectors work in partnership with our customers to contain and improve quality issues the most efficient way possible. Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Performs various sorting, inspection, production, and data entry

  • Reads and follows work instructions, work rules and directions

  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of work area

  • Uses inspection, measuring and test equipment as required

  • Completes required training classes

Follows all employee policies and other duties as assigned

As a self-motivated Quality Control (QC) Analyst, you'll be joining a team of more than 350 passionate individuals committed to our cause of providing superior health solutions. A day in the life of a Quality Control (QC) Analyst I at Thorne requires: * Performing quality control analyses of incoming raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and other materials as required. * Receiving samples into the laboratory and delegating them to the different areas of the lab for analysis as needed. * Following laboratory procedures; attention to detail is essential. * Working under general supervision using qualitative and quantitative techniques. * Demonstrating the ability to reproduce results accurately and consistently. * Maintaining knowledge of relevant laboratory techniques and instrumentation as well as associated software. * Relying on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of assigned tasks. * Completing and maintaining all required documentation for procedures, recording work, and results. * Compiling and reviewing analytical data for accuracy. * Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations of oversight agencies such as FDA, TGA, and NSF, as well as all company policies and procedures. * Preparing solutions, samples, and reagents. * Procuring supplies needed to perform required duties. Maintaining a proper inventory of supplies. * Keeping other laboratory personnel informed as to the status of analyses lab supplies and instrumentation usage. * Performing laboratory housekeeping and cleaning duties. Employment is contingent on satisfactory results from a drug screening, background and reference checks. What You Need: * B.S. degree in chemistry or science-related field with a minimum of 12 credit hours in college chemistry is required. A minimum of 5 years of analytical laboratory experience may be substituted for the B.S. degree requirement.
