A Quality Inspector III- 6pm - 6am job in Arlington, TX is available through Belcan. This is a Direct opportunity, with one of our aerospace clients. In this role you will be responsible for working with assistance and direction to use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspections of products such as machine parts, mechanical assemblies, purchased standard hardware, and the inspections of applied protective coatings including verification of thermal process (heat treat and eddy current inspections). To be considered for this role, you must have three plus years of experience working in inspection in an aerospace or similar environment.
Using engineering drawings, specifications, etc. for reference, inspect detailed machined parts and/or assemblies for conformity to design parameters. Indicate acceptance or rejection on production documentation
A. Complete final inspection and AS9102 first article inspection sheets as required documenting product conformity.
B. Observe and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods in all job assignments
C. Support Quality Inspectors 3-4 as directed
D. Enter data using Syteline/ESI or other ERP systems as directed
E. Arrange inspection work queues to identify priority work, move completed work to next staging area
F. Identify and segregate non-conforming production
G. Understand and, under supervision, conduct product verification in accordance with inspection plans and applicable process practices used in the work center
H. Actively follow instructions as required in all aspects of the work assignment and develop a working I. knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners.
J. Good knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5Good knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners.
1.3-5 years of experience working in inspection in an aerospace (or similar environment) machining environment with 3-axis or greater milling machines; 5-axis experience preferred.
2.The ability to read and accurately interpret customer engineering drawings, electronic model
based definitions and specifications
3.Experience in machining shop with various aluminum alloys, steel and titanium is strongly desired.
4.Experience using Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
